Rashmika Mandanna celebrates Diwali

Rashmika Mandanna who was busy promoting her film, Thamma with Ayushmann Khurrana shared her Diwali outfit on Instagram and fans loved it.

The Geeta Govinda actress celebrated the festival in a stunning ivory and green sharara set from designer Anjana Bohra’s “Maharani” collection.

The design relied on flawless craftsmanship rather than overpowering embellishments, with each pleat and thread conveying a subtle beauty.

The green kadwa zari gharchola dupatta, the real gem of her ensemble, added a royal flourish. The dupatta, which was handwoven with delicate embroidery and elaborate zari work, felt like a tribute to India's rich textile heritage.

With each movement, its tasselled borders swayed elegantly, adding a touch of festive rhythm and classic charm to the ensemble.

In typical Rashmika fashion, she wore simple yet statement pieces. Her stacked gold bangles and chandbali earrings provided the perfect amount of sparkle to go with the dupatta's zari embroidery.

With soft curls falling all over her face and dewy, glowing makeup showcasing her inherent beauty, she was definately looking Diwali ready. The look was completed with nude lips and kohl-rimmed eyes.

Anjana Bohra’s Maharani collection is a tribute to India’s royal past — to women who carry both strength and grace in their presence.

Rashmika brought that vision to life effortlessly, channelling the poise of a modern-day queen while keeping her charm approachable and real.

Producer Dinesh Vijan revealed that Thamma expands the studio’s acclaimed horror-comedy universe that began with Stree in 2018.

The success of Stree, followed by Bhediya and Munjya, inspired Maddock to explore more Indian-rooted stories that carry mass appeal. “Someone once told me, ‘build your own box.’ It stayed with me. When Stree fired, I started looking at it like that. The universe formed itself properly by Stree, and today we’ve got worlds, planets, rules, and surprises that all connect,” Vijan told Variety.

He emphasised that Thamma is built on genuinely Indian source material. “We often look at Western concepts, but the origin of many of these ideas is ours—way before anything the West has shown,” he said.
