The trailer of the comedy sequel Mastiii 4 has sparked intense online debate, with many on the internet slamming it as “vulgar” and “cheap.” Released yesterday, after a brief delay, the trailer reunites Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, and Riteish Deshmukh, and introduces newcomers Nargis Fakhri, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor.
While many fans celebrated the return of the franchise, others took issue with the tone and humour showcased in the trailer. One user wrote on X, “How do they face the females in their house after doing such films, you will never know (sic),” echoing a sentiment shared by several viewers concerned over the depiction of women and the reliance on adult comedy tropes.
Director Milap Zaveri stepped in to defend his film. Responding to the viral post, he wrote, “Mam pls do see the film. You may be pleasantly surprised. Women have a v strong role and POV (sic).”

Milap Zaveri counteracted the perceived objectification of women and reassured viewers that the movie may offer more substance than the trailer suggests.
Mastiii 4 features an expanded cast, including Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Shaad Randhawa, Nishant Singh Malkani, and Natalia Janoszek. The film is slated to release on November 21, 2025, and is the fourth instalment in a franchise that began in 2004 with Masti. While the first two films found commercial success, the third, Great Grand Mast, underperformed commercially due to an online leak prior to release.
