Madhuri Dixit, who is gearing up for the criminal thriller series Mrs Deshpande, has recently discussed her family's increasing online presence and the influence of digital media on their life. The actress also insisted that her kids need not be stars; they can also pursue a career as influencers.

In the latest edition of Creator X Creator on SCREEN, Madhuri said that her sons had grown accustomed to speaking in front of the camera with confidence. She commented on the generational divide in internet communication and showed her respect for their ease and freedom.

She said, “It's a different medium altogether, even from Instagram or Twitter. It's wonderful to see how kids are so confident when they talk. They're very sure of their choices in life and what they're talking about. We learn so much from them every day.”

The actress added, “They don't have to be like a star or anything. They can be their own people on YouTube. That's amazing.”

Madhuri claims that family-led internet activities are meant to encourage self-expression and useful life lessons rather than help her kids become famous. She noted that being genuine online is prized on sites like YouTube, and she believes this is a good thing for her family.

Madhuri Dixit shares two kids, Arin Nene and Ryan Nene, with husband Shriram Madhav Nene.

The series revolves around a police officer who seeks help from an imprisoned serial killer to catch a copycat murderer mimicking her methods.

Mrs Deshpande is set to premiere on JioHotstar on December 19.
