Actress Kubbra Sait recently opened up about one of the most challenging decisions of her life, which was her choice to undergo an abortion.
Kubbra, who was a part of the reality show 'Rise and Fall', shared how she has come to terms with it over time.
The Sacred Games star, who rose to prominence with her powerful portrayal of Kukoo, has since worked across films and digital platforms.
She has also appeared in shows like Farzi, The Trial, Shehar Lakhot, and was seen most recently in Deva and Trial opposite Kajol.
In a candid chat on Viral Bhayani’s channel, she acknowledged the emotional turbulence that accompanied her decision.
“It’s been many years since that happened, and I’ve had plenty of time to think about it and heal from it. But when a moment like that comes in your life, you find yourself conflicted because along with you are your faith, your responsibilities, and the world around you. You know what your duties are, you’re aware of how society sees you, and you feel torn between what’s right and what’s wrong,” she said.
She went on to say, “At that time, you don’t really know whether the decision you’re making is correct or not. But today, I can say that the decision I made then was the right one for me. Because I know that even if I had made a mistake, God was watching and I would have to face the consequences there, in the hereafter.”
In her 2022 memoir Open Book: Not Quite a Memoir, she described how writing about her journey helped her extend kindness to herself and own her choices.
Kubbra is busy with her professional work and earlier this year, she also took part in the Mahakumbh Mela, sharing reflections from her spiritual experience along the Ganga.
