While promoting her upcoming romantic drama Teri Ishk Mein in Delhi, Kriti Sanon turned her spotlight towards an issue that hits close to home — the capital’s ever-worsening air pollution.
As the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 400 over the weekend, plunging into the “hazardous” category, the actor used her media interaction not just to talk about her film but to express concern over what has now become an annual health emergency for Delhiites.
A Delhi girl herself, Kriti spoke with heartfelt honesty about the drastic change she’s witnessed over the years.
“I don’t think saying anything will help. It’s getting worse and worse. I am from Delhi, and I know how it used to be in the past. Something needs to be done to stop it; otherwise, it will reach a point where we won’t even be able to see each other standing next to us,” she said, her frustration mirroring the helplessness many residents feel.
Her comments came shortly after she returned from the lavish sangeet celebrations of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju in Udaipur — where the air was clear, the skies bright, and the mood festive.
In addition, Kriti reflected on her time spent working with Dhanush in Teri Ishk Mein, describing him as an actor with extraordinary sensitivity and depth. “I believe he has a very strong grasp of his craft. He’s very nuanced; he has also directed several films, bringing a wealth of experience and understanding to scenes and how they will translate on screen,” she shared, her admiration evident.
