Ismail Darbar talks about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai's past fights, 'we used to feel bad'

Noted music director Ismail Darbar seems to have created a stir with his statement he made during a recent interview.

In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Ismail Darbar also recalled the times when they saw fights between n Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai during the shoot of Devdas.

In the same conversation, Ismail had said he would never work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again with whom he gave musical gems like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and many more.

Their friendship ended on the sets of Bhansali's last offering 'Heeramandi.'

Talking about Salman and Aishwarya's fights, Ismail said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s decision to cast Shah Rukh Khan in Devdas was the reason of the fallout with Salman Khan.

“When I needed work, he gave me Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and when he needed me, I gave up all the work I had for him. He was my godfather in the industry, after all… My heart tells me that his equation with Salman soured because he hired Shah Rukh for Devdas. Salman supported him even when Khamoshi flopped. Isn’t it obvious? If I help you out twice, and the third time, you go and hire my competitor, I would be upset?," he revealed.

When asked whether Salman wasn’t taken because of his affair with Aishwarya Rai, Ismail said: “The news of their fights were all over the media. We used to feel bad; they were so close, they shouldn’t have been fighting. But these are all things of the past; even Salman is smart enough to never speak about it."

Ismail Darbar has made some explosive comments in his interview.
