
Actor Shreyas Talpade has been embroiled in controversy as he and 12 other people were identified in a formal complaint filed by the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh regarding an alleged investment scam.
According to ANI, the case was registered at the Bhogaon police station on Tuesday, February 10.
According to the report, the actor and his colleagues were accused by a Mohalla Mishrana resident of defrauding him of lakhs of rupees in the pretext of investment, which prompted the filing of the case.
According to the complaint, the actor and his friends reportedly defrauded villagers of lakhs of rupees at a Mumbai bank branch in Mohalla Mishrana, the town, by posing as an investment project.
In response to the court order, the police have now begun an investigation. The actor has not yet addressed or commented on the accusations.
Shreyas is a producer, director, and actor who has worked in Marathi and Bollywood films. In 2005, he made his leading-role debut in Iqbal. Among his well-known flicks are Om Shanti Om, Dor, and Golmaal.
On the work front, the actor will be seen in Welcome to the Jungle, the third part of the Welcome film series.
