Filmmaker Farah Khan has recently attended a Diwali event in Canada, and sent the fans into a frenzy by bringing a Bollywood touch to the country. The filmmaker delighted the audience after she pushed Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow to join her on stage.
Farah not only made the Toronto Mayo join the dance floor but also dance to a popular song from the Shah Rukh Khan film Om Shanti Om.
The video from the event is now going viral on social media. In the video, Farah is seen performing on stage, forcing Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow to dance to the popular song Om Shanti Om from her 2007 hit album of the same name.
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone were the lead pair in the movie.
The video from the Diwali celebration was shared on Instagram with the caption, “Only Farah Khan can get the Mayor of Toronto to groove Bollywood style. Such an iconic moment — Bollywood truly rules everywhere.”
However, Farah later re-posted the video to her Instagram Story, expressing her joy at the Diwali celebration and the joyful moments that occurred. She shared the video with the caption, “Not everyday you get to make a Mayor dance.”
Farah Khan’s work front
Farah Khan has taken a hiatus from filmmaking. She last directed the 2014 Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Happy New Year.
However, the filmmaker has recently choreographed the popular song Ghafoor for Aryan Khan’s debut web series The Bads of Bollywood, which is streaming on Netflix.
Farah is currently relishing all the attention she is receiving because of her vlogs in which she visits the homes of celebrities with her chef Dilip.
In 2024, Farah started making cooking vlogs. They recently secured a spot at the YouTube FanFest in Mumbai on September 11th, thanks to their growing popularity.
