Salman Khan made headlines on Sunday as a viral document reportedly a notification issued by Government of Balochistan Home Department dated 16th October, 2025 claimed that the Pakistani government has placed Salman under the 4th Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act (1997).
The reason mentioned was that Salman is an 'Azad Balochistan Facilitator'.
Turns out that the document was fake. The fabricated circular, which falsely attributes its origin to the Balochistan provincial administration, emerged shortly after Salman’s remarks about expatriate communities during a panel discussion at the Joy Forum in Riyadh on October 17, 2025.
The misinformation gained traction after a clip from the Joy Forum, also featuring Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, circulated widely online. During the discussion, Salman Khan had said, “Right now, if you make a Hindi film and release it here (in Saudi Arabia), it will be a superhit. If you make a Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam film, it will do hundreds of crores in business because so many people from other countries have come here. There are people from Balochistan, there are people from Afghanistan, there are people from Pakistan, everyone is working here.”
I don’t know if it was slip of tongue, but this is amazing! Salman Khan separates “people of Balochistan” from “people of Pakistan” .

The comment quickly became viral, with several social media accounts sharing an alleged government circular from Pakistan’s Balochistan province, claiming that the actor’s statement had “hurt the sentiments of the Baloch people.”
However, a closer examination of the viral document reveals multiple red flags.
The fake circular is dated October 16, 2025, a day before the Joy Forum panel took place. The event featuring Salman, Aamir, and Shah Rukh was live-streamed on October 17, the second day of the Riyadh-based entertainment convention. This proves the so-called notification predates the actor’s actual comment.
On October 26, 2025, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting officially debunked the viral claim via a post on X (formerly Twitter). The ministry shared a screenshot of an article titled “Pakistan puts Salman Khan on terror watchlist after Balochistan remark”, labeling the report as “fake.”

Their post stated, “No Pakistani government official statement, notification or entry was found on NACTA’s proscribed persons page or any Ministry of Interior / provincial Home Department gazette notifying Salman Khan’s inclusion in Fourth Schedule.”
On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar. He is currently working on Battle of Galwan, slated to release next year.
