Hazel Keech, who is now known as cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s wife and the daughter-in-law of former cricketer and actor Yograj Singh, once charmed audiences in Salman Khan’s 2011 blockbuster Bodyguard.
She played one of Kareena Kapoor's close friends in Bodyguard, sharing the screen with Salman Khan.
Despite the short duration of her role, her warmth and natural on-screen presence were noticed. Fans still fondly recall Hazel's role in the movie as one of her first Bollywood steps, and it went on to become one of the biggest hits of 2011.
Her father-in-law, Yograj Singh, has recently shared details of a much more intimate and moving period of his life, in contrast to Hazel's path of grace and light.
Known for his fierce honesty, both as a cricketer and as a man. Yograj has never been one to hide behind gentle words. But in his recent interview with Vintage Studio, his candour carried a quiet ache.
“I sit alone in the evening, have no one at home. I rely on strangers for food, sometimes one person, sometimes the other. I don’t bother anyone though. Someone or the other gets food for me if I am hungry. I kept house help and cooks, they served and went away,” he shared.

He continued, expressing both gratitude and acceptance. “I love my mother, kids, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, everyone in the family. But, I don’t ask for anything. I am ready to die. My life is completed, whenever God wants, he can take me with him. I am so thankful to God, I pray and he keeps giving.”
Much of his pain, Yograj admitted, traces back to his first marriage with Shabnam Kaur, recalling the heartbreak of separation.
“When things came at a point where Yuvi and his mother left me, it gave me the biggest shock. The woman for whom I dedicated my entire life, all of my youth, they can also leave me and go away?”
Hazel and Yuvraj’s 2016 wedding beautifully blended Sikh and Hindu traditions, symbolising unity and understanding.
