Bollywood lost one of its brightest stars when veteran actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on 24 November.
To honor his incredible journey and the legacy he leaves behind, his family and friends gathered for a heartfelt prayer meeting on Thursday, November 27, which was aptly named a "Celebration of Life."
The ceremony was held on the lawns of Bandra's Taj Lands End, where the Deol family created a small but meaningful space. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeet, and Vijeta were born to Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur.
As per Times of India, Sonu Nigam's performance of some of Dharmendra's favorite songs was one of the most poignant moments. Everyone in attendance was moved by songs like "Main Kahin Kavi Na Ban Jau," "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas," "Apne Toh Apne Hote Hai," "Ro Lene De," and "Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge," which evoked both nostalgia and emotion in equal measure.

Actor Abhay Deol and his grandsons Karan and Rajveer were also there, sharing in the memories and silent grief.
Even though the event was private, pictures of it quickly surfaced online, showing tender moments. Sunny and Bobby were clearly upset as they greeted guests, a sign of the family's profound personal loss.
From 5:30 p.m. until about 8 p.m., the evening blended music, sentimental tributes, and emotion.
The tranquil white lawns were decorated with floral arrangements and candid photos that captured the various aspects of Dharmendra's life.
