CORTIS fan creates chaos at airport leaving a flight attendant injured

A recent airport incident involving rookie boy group CORTIS has reignited the conversation around K-Pop fandom culture and public safety. This time a flight attendant was injured in the chaos.

A video circulating on social media shows an overwhelming crowd of fans who gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of the rising group. In the clip, dozens of fans pack into a narrow passageway, pushing forward as the idols enter the terminal.

Amid the crush, a flight attendant loses balance and falls hard to the ground. Her safety was clearly compromised due to the unforeseen mob. Shocked voices can be heard in the background shouting, “Don’t push! People are getting hurt!”

The video that had amassed over 2 million views has since been removed from the platform.

The clip left netizens furious, with many questioning not only the behaviour of the fans but also the broader culture of airport crowding in K-pop.

Online reactions reflect widespread frustration. “F*ck, is this right? Flight attendants can’t even get through? Idols should just take a boat when traveling,” wrote an X user. “Her hands were shaking… usually it’s the people in the back who push. I don’t get it — no matter how hard they push, they’ll never reach the front," noted another.

“Security or not, stay home. Don’t go to the airport if you can’t behave,” asserted a user. “Please stop this already… Even HYBE posted warnings about airport etiquette,” commented another.

While many rookie groups rely on airport appearances to build visibility, incidents like this raise questions about whether companies should enforce stricter travel protocols or discourage fans from gathering altogether.
