The hit K-drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty continues to enjoy massive success even a month after its release, and now, according to the latest reports, the entire cast is set to go on a reward vacation to celebrate the show’s popularity.
As reported by Xports News, tvN confirmed the news but chose not to reveal any details about the destination or schedule, citing safety concerns. The network stated, “The Bon Appétit, Your Majesty team will be going on a reward vacation. We ask for your understanding that we cannot share details such as the location and schedule for safety reasons.”
The drama, which concluded on the 28th of last month, is a survival fantasy romantic comedy about a chef who time-slips into the past at the peak of his career and encounters a king — a feared tyrant with an exceptional sense of taste. The series is based on a popular web novel of the same name.
The finale received impressive ratings, with 17.4% viewership in the metropolitan area (peaking at 20%) and 17.1% nationwide (peaking at 19.4%), according to Nielsen Korea.
Because of the show's immense popularity, the cast and crew have been rewarded with this well-earned trip, which allows them to unwind and celebrate their accomplishments together.
Following the tradition of other successful tvN dramas such as Hotel Del Luna, Marry My Husband, Seonjae and Run Away, and Someday, I Will Be a Wise Resident, the Bon Appétit, Your Majesty team joins the list of productions that have rewarded their teams with celebratory vacations.
Actor Lee Chae-min, who has a fan meeting scheduled in Seoul on the 24th and 25th, is expected to join only part of the trip due to his prior commitments.
