For many fans, Bhagam Bhag isn’t just a comedy — it’s a comfort watch. Whether it’s the endless confusion, the perfectly timed punches, or the sheer madness unfolding on screen, Priyadarshan’s 2006 film starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Govinda remains one of Bollywood’s most loved entertainers.

Now, years later, the chaos is set to return with Bhagam Bhag 2.

This time, the sequel will be directed by Dream Girl filmmaker Raaj Shaandilya. While Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal are coming back, Govinda will not be part of the second instalment.

Instead, Manoj Bajpayee will be stepping into his shoes — a casting choice that has surprised many. While some fans are disappointed about Govinda’s absence, others are curious to see what Manoj Bajpayee brings to the madness.

There’s more fresh energy being added to the mix. According to Variety India, Akshay Kumar will be seen romancing two actresses in the sequel. Meenakshi Chaudhary, who was already announced as part of the cast, will be joined by Ayesha Khan as the second female lead.

The story is expected to stay true to the franchise’s roots — full of mistaken identities, misunderstandings and over-the-top comedy that spirals out of control in the most entertaining way possible.

Interestingly, the actress opposite Manoj Bajpayee is yet to be confirmed.

For Meenakshi Chaudhary, this film marks her big Bollywood debut. She has previously worked in regional cinema, including films like Lucky Baskhar and Sankranthiki Vasthunam.

Ayesha Khan, meanwhile, has been enjoying the spotlight after her appearance in the song “Shararat” from Dhurandhar. She was also seen alongside Kapil Sharma in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. Watching both actresses share screen space with Akshay Kumar in a high-energy comedy is bound to be interesting.

Speaking about Govinda’s absence, Paresh Rawal shared his honest thoughts with Bollywood Hungama, saying, “I genuinely have no idea. However, we’ll miss Govinda."

With the film set to go on floors soon, Bhagam Bhag 2 is shaping up to be a nostalgic ride with a fresh twist and audiences are ready for the madness all over again.
