The upcoming comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, has undergone a change in its theatrical release schedule. The film, which was earlier expected to arrive in cinemas on March 4, 2026, around the Holi period, has now been assigned a new release date.
The makers have decided to shift the release forward, with the film now slated to hit theatres on May 15, 2026.
Confirming the development, a trade analyst shared the update on X, writing, “AYUSHMANN KHURRANA - SARA ALI KHAN - WAMIQA GABBI - RAKUL PREET SINGH: PATI PATNI AUR WOH DO GETS A NEW RELEASE DATE... Pati Patni Aur Woh Do features Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi in leading roles. The sequel is expected to introduce a fresh set of characters and situations while retaining the franchise’s signature humour.
Director Mudassar Aziz, who also helmed the first installment, returns to direct the sequel. The comedy entertainer is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, with Juno Chopra on board as the creative producer.
Originally scheduled for a March 4 release, the film promises “triple the fun and laughter” as it takes audiences back into the unpredictable world of Prajapati Pandey, portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana.
The original Pati Patni Aur Woh, which was released in 2019, starred Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday. The film was a modern remake of the 1978 classic of the same name and also featured Aparshakti Khurrana, Ayushmann Khurrana’s brother, in a supporting role.
