Akshaye Khanna receives tribute from Amul

Bollywood actor Akhshaye Khanna is enjoying the revived fame with his portrayal of Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar. He is receiving praise for his strong performance in the film. Amul has now paid a tribute to the actor.

Amul shared an illustration of Akshaye from the film Dhurandhar with the text, “Dhurandhar, makhan ko bhar andar… Amul fun times.” In the illustration, Akshaye is seen doing his dance moves, which are widely going viral on social media.

Alongside the picture, the caption reads, “Amul Topical: Song FA9LA from blockbuster film, breaks the internet!” In the illustration, Akshaye is seen holding a bread with butter in one hand and a knife in the other hand.

While Akshaye has yet to officially react to fans' love, Dhurandhar’s casting director, Mukesh Chhabra, revealed how he felt about the film's success. Akshaye told the casting director, "Haan, mazaa aaya" — loosely translating to “Yes, I enjoyed it.”

Akshaye Khanna became an internet sensation after his dance on rapper Flipperachi’s song, Fa9la, went viral on social media. The song Fa9la plays during the entry scene of Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rahman Dakait, also known as Sher-e-Baloch.

Fans have applauded the Arabic rap, stylised images, and Khanna's powerful presence; many were surprised to see the actor in such a groove-driven scene.

About Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh plays the lead in the spy thriller Dhurandhar, which is set in Lyari, Pakistan, and centres on an Indian agent.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the central role of Hamza Ali, an undercover operative planted inside the Pakistani mafia by IB chief Ajay Sanyal (R Madhavan). The film marks the first collaboration between Ranveer and Aditya.
