Actress Falaq Naazz, who gained recognition with her appearance in Bigg Boss OTT 2, recently went through a health scare that led to a hospitalisation and surgery. Falaq took to her Instagram to update her fans about her condition and offer valuable advice, especially to women, regarding health. She spoke about her surgery for appendicitis, a condition that could have been avoided with earlier intervention.
In her Instagram post, Falaq shared photos of herself lying in a hospital bed after her surgery, reflecting on the events of the past few days. She wrote, "The past five days have been quite a roller coaster for me. Lying here in this hospital bed after my surgery has really made me appreciate life and the feeling of being alive."
Falaq took this opportunity to address a crucial issue that many women face – the tendency to ignore or dismiss pain. She explained, "I want to address all the wonderful women out there: We often endure any pain in our bodies because that’s just how we’re made. However, I feel it’s important to share a little information to help you pay attention to the signs your body is giving you." Falaq revealed that she had been experiencing discomfort for a while but had brushed it off, thinking it was related to menstrual cramps or ovulation pain.
She continued by explaining the gravity of her condition. "I recently had surgery for appendicitis, and post-surgery, I discovered that my condition was far from minor; in fact, it had been long overdue. I had always dismissed the pain or attributed it to menstrual cramps and ovulation discomfort," Falaq confessed, urging women not to follow in her footsteps by ignoring such signs.
Falaq’s decision to share her experience was not just about providing a health update, but also about encouraging women to take their health more seriously.
She stressed the importance of getting regular checkups and not waiting until the pain becomes unbearable or the condition worsens. "It’s essential to listen to your body and not ignore any unusual pain," Falaq emphasized in her post.
She also shared her gratitude for the medical professionals and other individuals who undergo tough treatments and surgeries. "I have profound respect for those enduring various treatments and surgeries and managing to survive. It’s truly not an easy journey, I assure you," she wrote, acknowledging the strength it takes to deal with such situations.
Despite undergoing surgery, Falaq tried to keep her spirits high and informed her followers of her recovery. However, she did mention the difficulties she was facing post-surgery. "I am having a bit of difficulty sneezing, as I have stitches in my abdomen, but I am healing," she shared.
Falaq's candid post reflects not only her courage but also her dedication to spreading awareness. Her advice to get ultrasounds and other health checkups done regularly is an important reminder for everyone, especially women, who may be inclined to put their health on the backburner while juggling multiple responsibilities.
Falaq is currently starring in Megha Barsenge and has been part of several popular television shows such as Pandya Store, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani, RadhaKrishn, and Sasural Simar Ka. Despite her ongoing career, she now recognizes the need to prioritize her well-being, as health is always the most important factor.
