The seventh season of Bigg Boss Malayalam has officially begun, marking the end of the wait for fans and the start of a new era of drama, strategy, and surprises.

Expectations are high as usual for theBigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 premiered with Mohanlal introducing a brand-new room called Panipura, a unique addition he personally requested. This twist hints at more intense challenges and strategic gameplay ahead. new house design, revised rules, and game-changing twists in addition to the celebrity contestants.

This season, which is available for streaming on JioHotstar, promises greater unpredictability than previous seasons.

Superstar host Mohanlal kicked off the premiere episode by taking viewers on a grand tour of the Bigg Boss house. A notable highlight this year is the introduction of a new space called Panipura—a room specially requested by Mohanlal himself.

He revealed that contestants will be asked to unpack their belongings in this very room, and added that they will have to put in a lot of effort to retrieve their valuable belongings and weekly groceries, all of which will be stored there. This change signals a tougher, more engaging survival game from the get-go.

Another interesting addition is the introduction task designed for each contestant—a first in the show's Malayalam edition. Upon entering, participants were required to select a medal inscribed with their name and photo, press a painted hand on a wall, and walk blindfolded to the finish line. To make it more emotional, each contestant was guided by a friend or family member during this task.

Those who completed the challenge the fastest were given a distinct advantage: they were allowed to take all of their belongings into the house immediately. The rest had to start their journey with only a limited set of items.

Bigg Boss further teased that the other contestants would have to earn back their possessions through yet another game—an intense twist unveiled right on day one. This marks a bold new direction, hinting at a fiercely competitive season ahead for all 20 housemates.
