Actress Tanishaa Mukerji has appeared in several movies and reality shows. She became well-known after making an impression on many with her genuine nature.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the actress talked about how reality programs are traumatic and even how the non-fiction series affects one's self-image.
Tanishaa Mukerji discussed how her life changed after participating in reality TV. "Reality shows are traumatic; trauma can affect you in ways that are different from how it might in real life," she said.
She clarified that although reality television might be amusing, it can also be upsetting. When asked why she chose to participate, Tanishaa said, "I did it because I am a very adventurous spirit."
She said she likes to experiment without considering the repercussions.
"That may not be the best thing," Mukerji said. “Sometimes you have to consider the repercussions. However, I believe that's life, so why not?” she added.
Tanishaa admitted the influence of reality programs on her career and self-image when asked about this. "You get typecast when a reality show assigns you a certain character. More significantly, people begin to think of you as that persona, and it can be very difficult to escape that perception. Therefore, you must exercise extreme caution when watching reality shows,” she clarified.
She disclosed that although many people think they can be authentic on these shows, the truth is otherwise.
"Because someone else alters and displays you, you are unable to be who you are. You're not always in the spotlight. They are merely displaying what they desire." The Bigg Boss 7 star stated.
"Once you establish a character on a reality show, it's tough to redefine yourself," the actress went on.
Tanishaa stated that while many people are impacted by not having a job, she is not personally. Even though she doesn't see people very often, when she does, they frequently snicker when she mentions her Bigg Boss season. She said that she is not bothered by these responses since.

"They want you to invest in a character while portraying another as the villain."
