Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas to star in upcoming film Kishkindhapuri, makers confirm release in September

The announcement was made via the film’s official X handle, accompanied by a striking poster showcasing Bellamkonda in an intense and powerful avatar.

The makers of Kishkindhapuri, starring Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, announced on Saturday that the film is slated for a theatrical release on September 12.

Helmed by Koushik Pegallapati, who is best known for Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, the project is backed by producer Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, with music composed by Sam CS.

According to insiders, the film unfolds in a distinct and immersive setting designed to deliver a captivating cinematic experience. The first look, revealed in April, offered a glimpse into its eerie and suspense-filled storyline.

The teaser opens with the lead duo entering an abandoned house, unknowingly disturbing sinister forces.  A foreboding voice warns, “Some doors are not meant to be opened,” as unsettling whispers echo in the background. The preview culminates in a chilling moment when Bellamkonda proclaims, “Aham Mrityu” (I am death), his eyes clouding over in a supernatural transformation.

Described as a horror–mystery, the film features Anupama Parameswaran alongside Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas in the lead roles.

Sreenivas was last seen in Bhairavam, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, which also starred Aditi Shankar, Nara Rohith, and Manchu Manoj in key roles. The Telugu drama followed the story of three childhood friends whose unshakable bond is put to the test by unforeseen events.
