Barun Sobti reveals he struggles with ADHD, says "it took some time to understand"

Recently, Barun Sobti revealed his intense love for the arts and his disregard for money.

In an open interview, the TV personality revealed that, along with getting married, one of his greatest dreams was to become an actor, which he always felt was his destiny.

When Barun looks back on his journey, he believes he has reached all of the significant goals he set for himself. He also disclosed that he has Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in addition to these revelations.

Discussing his approach to money and motivation with Pinkvilla, Barun said, "I'm not a very materialistic person. I was not the kind of person (who's like) 'I want this much money'. Money never motivated me."

He went on to explain how his true drive stemmed from creative fulfilment. "I found that these were the things that motivated me when I was a kid. Because I didn't have a lot of brain. And when I grew up, I figured out that creative satisfaction matters a lot to me. I'm ADHD anyway. I go crazy if I'm not doing anything that is really satisfying to me. But it took some time to understand that."

What makes Barun Sobti most famous is his portrayal of Arnav Singh Raizada in the hit TV show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Following a successful stint on TV, he transitioned to digital platforms with his performance in Tanhaiyan.

Since then, he has starred in a number of critically acclaimed films, including Raat Jawaan Hai, Asur, Badtameez Dil, Asur 2, Kohrra, and The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family.

Ikatthe and Kohrra 2 are just two of Barun's exciting upcoming projects.

Due in part to his ADHD, Barun stays loyal to his creative instincts rather than being motivated by financial gain as he continues to experiment with a variety of roles in the OTT space.
