Love In Vietnam to release in 10k screens in China

Love In Vietnam which stars Avneet Kaur and Shantanu Maheshwari, is currently making waves well beyond India. In a notable achievement, it’s set to become the first Indian film to release on an astonishing 10,000 screens across China.

This is a huge milestone, especially since earlier Indian hits like Secret Superstar and 12th Fail only made it to China after proving themselves at home.

The film’s China distribution rights were snapped up by Shanghai YC Media and Film, one of the biggest names in the country’s entertainment scene. It’s a huge vote of confidence for a movie that’s clearly resonating far and wide.

According to News18, speaking about this exciting development, director Rahhat Shah Kazmi shared, “Love in Vietnam has been a dream project. We have put our heart and soul into this film, and it is truly a matter of pride as we have created history by acquiring 10,000 screens in China even before our India release.”

Love In Vietnam is set to hit Indian cinemas on 12th September 2025. The film was shot against the stunning backdrops of Vietnam and the lively, colourful heart of Punjab. It tells a heartfelt story about love and friendship, wrapped in soulful music that strikes a chord with anyone who’s ever loved or lost.

The movie is a musical love story presented by Zee Studios and supported by a host of production companies. The film is insipred by the classic 1943 Turkish novel Madonna in a Fur Coat by Sabahattin Ali, giving it a rich literary foundation.

Alongside Avneet and Shantanu, the film features veteran actors like Farida Jalal and Raj Babbar, and Vietnamese actress Kha Ngan, who plays a key role in the unfolding drama.

The story unfolds the journey of childhood sweethearts whose lives take an unexpected turn when Shantanu’s character moves to Vietnam. There, he meets someone new, leading to a complex tale of love, betrayal and heartbreak that crosses cultures and continents.
