Director Anurag Kashyap and Imtiaz Ali's daughters were in Pahalgam, Kashmir, two days before the deadly terror attack that left 26 dead and many injured.
Anurag Kashyap's daughter Aaliyah Kashyap took to her social media handle to reveal that she was also at the same place two days prior to the incident. She offered condolences to the families whose loved ones were killed in the attack.
Aaliyah went on to say that she, along with Imtiaz Ali’s daughter, Ida Ali, was at the same location in Pahalgam for their holiday.
Ida and Aaliyah, who are very close friends, expressed shock at the tragic incident.
Both Ida and Aaliyah were vacationing in Kashmir with their partners just two days before the attack. They had also shared pics from the Pahalgam trip.
Aaliyah took to her Instagram Story and wrote, "This is crazy; we were just here 2 days ago. Praying for all the victims, their families, and all the people affected. This is heartbreaking".
Meanwhile, Ida also paid her tributes to the victims of the attack and shared a heartfelt post for those killed in the tragic incident.
She wrote, “My heart goes out to all the victims and their families”.
They had even released a YouTube video talking about their lovely stay in Kashmir.
Previously, Aaliyah described her journey to Pahalgam and Kashmir as 'heaven on Earth.'
Unidentified gunmen killed tourists when they were enjoying their holiday in Pahalgam's Baisaran, Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident occurred at approximately 3 pm on Tuesday, leading security officers to rush to the scene after hearing gunshots. Twenty-six persons, mainly civilians, were murdered, with another 20 wounded.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had als strongly condemned the dastardly act.
He wrote on X, “Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected. Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice... they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and will only grow stronger”.
PM Modi also cut short his official visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to Delhi on Wednesday.
