Fans have received a positive update from director Anurag Basu regarding his eagerly awaited romantic drama, which stars Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela.

The celebrated director confirmed in a recent interview with News18 Showsha that the last stages of production are quickly approaching and that viewers can anticipate an official title and release date announcement shortly.

Sharing details about the shoot’s progress, Anurag Basu revealed, “Half of it is done, half is remaining. The shooting will begin very soon, and the film will be completed within a month.”

The film, which has been informally referred to as Aashiqui 3, is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the T-Series banner. However, the final title is yet to be disclosed. “We’ll announce the title and release date soon. I’m just focused on wrapping it up well,” the filmmaker added, underlining his commitment to delivering a polished and memorable love story.

With this project, Anurag returns to the musical-romantic genre for which he has long been praised. Expectations are high for this new collaboration because of Sreeleela's expanding fan base and Kartik Aaryan's increasing fame.

It is anticipated that the movie will adhere to the same level of musical depth and emotional depth that characterised Basu's previous romantic works.

Metro In Dino, Anurag Basu's 2025 debut, is presently showing in theatres. As a spiritual follow-up to his 2007 hit Life in a… Metro, the film stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and Saswata Chatterjee.

Set against the backdrop of urban India, Metro In Dino interweaves the lives of four couples navigating love, loss, and longing amidst the daily chaos of city life. Co-produced by Anurag Basu Productions and T-Series, the film has received positive reviews for its emotional depth and aesthetic appeal.
