Anupam Kher reunites with Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen for the upcoming film Tanvi: The Great

Anupam Kher cast Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen in his upcoming project

Bollywood actor and director Anupam Kher has recently sent fans into a frenzy with the latest announcement. He recently took to his social media to announce his upcoming project with a very popular Scottish actor. However, Anupam has made it clear that a Hollywood actor will play a pivotal role rather than a cameo.

Anupam Kher took to his Instagram and shared the poster of his upcoming project, Tanvi: The Great. The poster notably featured Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen in Anupam Kher’s directorial return.

He revealed in the caption that Iain will portray a prominent character, Michael Simmons. The poster was accompanied by a backstory of Anupam and Iain’s past collaboration, which increased the excitement among the fans.

He wrote in the caption, “ACTORS of TANVI THE GREAT: I acted with Iain Glen (Game Of Thrones) in a #BBC three part series #MrsWilson. We became friends after the shoot.”

Anupam recalled, “So when I was casting for Michael Simmons’s character in #TanviTheGreat, I sent the script to Iain, and he immediately agreed to play one of the most important characters in our film.”

“He brings with him not only the brilliance of his acting to the character but also the gravitas, warmth, and compassion so needed in the film. Thank you my friend for being part of this important Indian film for the world. Jai Ho!” he continued in the caption.

Produced by Anupam Kher Studios, NFDC, and Lower Middle Class Corporation, the upcoming film will feature debutant Shubangi Dutt as Tanvi. Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani will be scoring the music for the project that is expected to be a global desi epic.
