After the success of Saiyaara, fresh face Aneet Padda is moving fast. The young actress, who became an overnight sensation earlier this year, has signed her next film—and it’s a big one. She will headline a romantic drama directed by Maneesh Sharma, a filmmaker known for giving Bollywood some of its most relatable love stories.

According to a report, the project is set in scenic Punjab and will begin shooting around mid-2026. The film is still untitled, and the male lead hasn’t been locked yet, but pre-production work has already kicked off.

For Maneesh Sharma, this marks a return to his romantic roots. Fans still remember his sharp storytelling in Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and Shuddh Desi Romance (2013).
