Saiyaara actress Aneet Padda seems to be only growing in her professional life. After the super success of her romantic movie with Ahaan Panday, the actress has now reportedly bagged Maddock Films' horror comedy 'Shakti Shalini.'
Earlier, there were reports that Kiara Advani had been approached for the role but nothing was made official neither from the production house or the actress herself.
Aneet has been steadily winning praise for her screen presence and versatility, and this project marks her first big lead in mainstream Bollywood.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Maddock Films is confident that Aneet Padda’s energy and freshness will bring a new dimension to the character of 'Shakti Shalini.'
The horror comedy franchise has already built a loyal audience with its quirky mix of supernatural chills and laugh-out-loud humor.

Production, however, is still in early stages. The film has not yet gone on floors, as the team is in the process of locking its director.
The final decision is expected within the next fortnight. Originally, Shakti Shalini was slated for a grand December 31, 2025 release. But with the casting changes and subsequent delays, the timeline has shifted. The movie is now expected to hit theatres in the last quarter of 2026.
According to reports, Maddock Films plans to scale this installment bigger than its predecessors, blending sharper comedy, heightened horror sequences, and an emotional core designed to resonate with audiences.
With Aneet Padda stepping in at a pivotal moment in her career, Shakti Shalini could be both her breakout mainstream hit and a significant expansion of Bollywood’s horror comedy universe.
