Andhra King Taluka landed in cinemas on November 27 and earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore net on its opening day, setting the tone for what looks like a steady but not spectacular start.
Andhra King Taluka closed its opening day with mixed occupancy trends across regions. In the Telugu belt, the film registered an overall 32.97 percent occupancy on November 27, showing a clear rise in footfall by night. The morning and afternoon shows stayed modest at 29.23 and 26.64 percent, while the evening picked up to 32.41 percent, ending strong with 43.61 percent at night.
In Karnataka, the response was far more restrained. The Kannada version recorded an overall 7.53 percent occupancy, with morning shows at 11.38 percent before dipping through the afternoon and evening. The night shows remained low at 5.60 percent.
Early figures from a trade website place the Ram Pothineni starrer in the moderate zone, leaving the film’s real test for the coming weekend.
The film, positioned as A Biopic of a Fan, relies heavily on Ram Pothineni’s presence at the centre of its emotional arc.
He plays the titular character, supported by Upendra, Bhagyashri Borse, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna, and VTV Ganesh.
The narrative follows the journey of a passionate fan and tries to balance drama, sentiment, and commercial elements. Director Mahesh Babu P has helmed the project while also shaping its screenplay, with Mythri Movie Makers backing the production.

On the technical front, the film brings together several experienced names. Siddhartha Nuni handled primary cinematography, while George C Williams joined as additional director of photography. Editing responsibilities were managed by Sreekar Prasad, and production design was led by Avinash Kolla. Costume designers Deepali Noor and Ashwin Mawle created the film’s look, while Pruthvi designed the action sequences. The VFX department was led by Satish Krishna Yalamarthi and Raghav Tammareddy, with post-production supervision by Boppana Satyanarayana.
For now, all eyes are on how the film performs across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and other key markets over the next few days. A strong Saturday and Sunday could shift the narrative in its favour, especially if word of mouth picks up. The weekend numbers will ultimately decide whether Andhra King Taluka builds momentum or settles into a quieter box office run.
