Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday's first web series, garnered a devoted fan base right away after its 2024 debut.
A sequel was announced soon after the comedy drama's premiere, which centres on the life of Bella (also known as Bae), a wealthy woman who must start over in Mumbai after a failed marriage. One of the stars of Call Me Bae, Lisa Mishra, recently gave fans a preview of what to expect from the much awaited Call Me Bae season 2.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Lisa, who portrays Harleen, a determined reporter in the series, shared some exciting news about the sequel. She revealed, “We are going to start filming this year for Call Me Bae Season 2. Everyone is super excited to get back on the set. We all became friends. Our director, Collin D’Cunha, did a great job as he left us an environment where everyone was an equal and everyone ended up being friends. I know that all of us are begging to be back on the sets!"
The cast is excited to return to set, and the sequel has created a lot of buzz. As Ananya Panday's character Bella navigates life after a failed marriage, Call Me Bae attracted attention for its relatable narrative of resiliency and reinvention. The show is a humorous look at the difficulties of starting over in a big city like Mumbai, as well as a celebration of personal development.
Gurfateh Pirzada, Vir Das, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, and Mini Mathur are among the show's talented ensemble cast members in addition to Ananya Panday.
