Amul celebrates SRK met Gala debut

As the first Indian male actor to walk the red carpet at the prestigious Met Gala, Shah Rukh Khan, affectionately referred to as the King of Bollywood, has once again made history.

At the 2025 edition of the internationally recognised event, which had as its theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," SRK made a strong statement in a moment that fused cinematic grandeur with fashion royalty.

In keeping with his royal persona, Shah Rukh wore an outfit that was especially created by renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. A floor-length fitted coat made of opulent Tasmanian superfine wool was part of his ensemble. Monogrammed Japanese horn buttons adorned the coat, adding an artisanal touch to the ensemble.

A Bengal Tiger Head Cane, a lavish piece of 18k gold embellished with sapphires, tourmalines, and diamonds, further enhanced the ensemble. As a fitting homage to his enduring "King" legacy, SRK wore a bold "K" necklace around his neck.

His sophisticated appearance did not go unnoticed. As always, Amul India captured the cultural moment with their signature wit and creativity. The dairy brand paid tribute to SRK’s Met Gala debut with an illustrated cartoon of him in his striking outfit, dubbing him “India’s Biggest GalaKaar!” The ad featured the tagline “Always In Fashion,” saluting his timeless appeal while cleverly tying it back to Amul’s evergreen charm.

The actor's appearance at the Met Gala follows an incredible 2023 in which he released three consecutive blockbusters: Jawan, Dunki, and Pathaan. Shah Rukh Khan is still in control, having redefined Indian cinema and now taken over the biggest stage in fashion.
