Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is all set to make a grand comeback with the latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. With the premiere scheduled for August 11, 2025, the new promos have already stirred up excitement among fans. Adding to the buzz are the reports surrounding Big B’s remuneration for hosting KBC 17.
According to a report by Siasat.com, the iconic actor has now become the highest-paid television host in India, reportedly earning an astounding Rs 5 crore per episode.
With a weekly salary of an astounding Rs 25 crore, this officially exceeds Salman Khan's salary range. Although he only filmed two days a week, Salman, who was reportedly paid Rs 12 crore for each Weekend Ka Vaar episode during Bigg Boss OTT 2, made about Rs 24 crore per week.
The makers had officially announced Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 on April 4 with a quirky promo video featuring Amitabh Bachchan.
The actor plays a patient who has a stomachache in the clip, which is a light-hearted allusion to the eagerly anticipated return of the show. Additionally, the promo announced that KBC 17 registrations were now open and encouraged viewers to sign up via the Sony LIV app, SMS, or IVR.
