Ameesha Patel reacts to fans asking her to marry Salman Khan

Ameesha Patel is widely recognized as one of Bollywood's most skilled actresses, known for her ability to engage audiences with her exceptional performances. She made a stunning debut in the industry with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, where she starred alongside Hrithik Roshan, and quickly became a fan favorite due to her impressive acting talent. In a recent interaction, Ameesha has addressed fan's request to marry Salman Khan.

While her career continues to shine, Ameesha’s personal life often attracts media attention.  Despite the public's curiosity about her personal life, Ameesha remains a prominent figure in the entertainment world.

A few days ago, during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Twitter, Ameesha Patel's fans playfully suggested that she should marry Salman Khan. In response to this, Ameesha recently spoke about it in an interview with Bollywood Bubble. She mentioned how her fans pointed out that both she and Salman are "eligible" and "good-looking," and therefore, they should marry and have beautiful children.

Ameesha, with her signature humor, joked that it was a pretty solid reason for people to suggest that she tie the knot with Salman Khan. She said, "Fans actually have raised this question to me recently on AMA on Twitter chat. They’re like okay he is so eligible, you’re so eligible, you’re so good-looking, please get married to have good-looking babies.”

Ameesha reveals getting chuckled at the suggestion and jokingly asked her fans if it was related to a film project, pointing out that the only reason they gave for her to marry Salman was that both of them were single.

Commenting on the matter, Ameesha explained that people enjoy seeing attractive individuals paired together. She also reminisced about how, after the success of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, fans eagerly hoped for her and Hrithik to become a couple. So, when Hrithik announced his marriage, it left many of their fans heartbroken.

She mentioned, "And I was like wow, that’s a great reason. I think the world likes seeing beautiful people come together. They wanted to see me and Hrithik come together post Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And when he announced his marriage, they were heartbroken. They were like, no this can’t happen.”

Salman Khan and Ameesha Patel starred together in the 2002 film Yeh Hai Jalwa. In a past interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha discussed why the movie didn’t perform well at the box office, and she attributed its failure to Salman.

According to her, the film’s lack of success was largely due to Salman’s hit-and-run case, which dominated media coverage at the time.

Ameesha explained that while Yeh Hai Jalwa was one of David Dhawan's best films and Salman looked great in it, the media's intense focus on the legal case overshadowed the film, ultimately leading to its commercial downfall.
