While many Bigg Boss 19 contestants recently headed to Dubai for a reunion and success celebration, two of the show’s most talked-about names — Amaal Mallik and Farrhana Bhatt — chose to skip the event, leaving fans curious about their absence. The duo announced that they had cancelled their Dubai trip and were “not interested” in joining the other former housemates.

Contestants, including winner Gaurav Khanna, Ashnoor Kaur, Pranit More, and Awez Darbar, were seen flying out from Mumbai to Dubai for what many described as a second Bigg Boss 19 success party, organised by a sponsor to celebrate the show’s completion. However, Amaal and Farrhana opted out, instead sharing light-hearted updates from Malta, where they were seen spending time together.

On Tuesday, Farrhana Bhatt took to her Instagram stories to reveal that she is in Malta. Amaal also joined her in the video. “Hum ek nayi destination pe phoch chuke hain jo batayenge mere param mitr Amaal Mallik," said Farrhana. Amaal added, “Guys, we are in Malta! We have cancelled the Dubai trip." Farrhana also confirmed the same, and said, “We have cancelled. We are not interested and we have decided to come to Malta." However, they didn’t exactly reveal why they were in Malta. Farrhana also posted another picture with Amaal on her Instagram story.

Their decision surprised many viewers because Farrhana was the first runner-up of Bigg Boss 19, and Amaal Mallik was one of the most polarising contestants during the season owing to his clashes and dramatic episodes inside the house. However, in recent days, the two have shown a more amiable rapport off-screen, even hinting at collaborative plans together after the show’s conclusion — a notable shift from their earlier contentious dynamic in the house.

In a recent interview with Film Window, Farrhana shared that she has developed a friendship with Amaal after the reality show concluded, and they are also working together on an upcoming project.“We are planning some work together. Some project is there. Amaal ke saath ek alag bonding ban gayi hai. Mumma ki bhi, meri bhi. And ek aisi dosti bani hai jo kaafi saari cheezon se guzar ke abhi ek achhi cheez ban rahi hai," she said.

She added, “I actually discovered that I can sing during Bigg Boss 19. When Amaal initially told me that I sing really well, I thought he was lying. Then his brother Armaan came, and Kunickaa ji appreciated me a lot too. After I came out of the show, people really liked my singing. I don’t think I’m a good singer yet- maybe my voice is slightly good. But there are so many nuances in singing that don’t come naturally. If I get the time, I’d like to focus a bit more on improving my singing. However, the upcoming collaboration between Amaal and me won’t be for singing. It will be something else."
