After Reese Witherspoon's Legally Blonde, Alicia Silverstone starrer 90s rom-com Clueless is back with its series as per latest reports.
According to reports by Variety, Alicia Silverstone will return to the role in the follow-up series. The program is presently under development. Apart from the fact that the show will be a sequel to the cult classic movie, specific plot details are being kept under wraps.
Alicia took to Instagram and shared a post hinting at the series. The caption read, "Totally buggin’… in the best way (Swipe to see why)"
The show will be produced by CBS Studios, which owns the rights to the original Clueless movie, in collaboration with Universal Television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It is important to note that Peacock's 2020 Clueless series is entirely different from the current one. Cher would have vanished and concentrated on her best friend Dionne in that show, which was characterised as more of a mystery series.
This new project will be executive produced and starred by Alicia Silverstone. Executive producers include Robert Lawrence, the original producer, and Amy Heckerling, the original writer and director. Universal Television and CBS Studios will work together on the production.
