Alia Bhatt's manager Vedika Shetty arrested for allegedly cheating the actress of Rs 77 lakh

Alia Bhatt's former assistant has been arrested in connection with a fraud case after the actress' mother Soni Razdan, filed an FIR against her.

Alia Bhatt's former assistant has been arrested in connection with a fraud case after the actress' mother Soni Razdan filed an FIR against her.

Veteran actress Soni Razdan filed a complaint at the Juhu police station on January 23 against Vedika Shetty, who was Alia's personal assistant.

According to a report in NDTV, Vedika had cheated the Jigra actress of Rs 77 lakh.

A complaint was filed under sections pertaining to criminal breach of trust and cheating, and police began searching for her.

Vedika is accused of committing Rs 76.9 lakh in irregularities at Alia Bhatt's production firm, Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited, as well as her personal accounts.

It has been revealed that Vedika Shetty reportedly prepared bogus bills, had Alia Bhatt sign them, and then stole the money.

She would tell Alia that her expenses were for travel, meetings, and other necessary arrangements.

She was reportedly tracked down to Rajasthan, then in Karnataka, Pune and back in Bengaluru. Reportedly, Juhu police arrested her from Bengaluru.
