Alia Bhatt praises friend Ayan Mukerji's War 2 teaser, calls it 'Special pre birthday gift' for him

Actress Alia Bhatt, who shares a very close bond with Ayan Mukherjee, was all praise for the director. The teaser of Ayan's latest offering, War 2, was released on Tuesday and Alia couldn't stop praising the director for giving a glimpse of the sleek teaser.

War 2 marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu superstar Jr. NTR, who is seen with Hrithik Roshan and actress Kiara Advani. The teaser showed some high-octane fight sequences and fans couldn't stop praising the movie.

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories. Alia shared the teaser and wrote, "Seated for (fire emoticons), a special pre-birthday for real Ayan Mukerji." Earlier, Karan Johar also praised and wrote, “And here comes the biggest blockbuster of the year!!! This clash of the titans is going to be EPIC and storm at the box office!!!! I literally cannot wait!"

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, which had Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.

Besides the action sequences between Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan, it was Kiara's brief appearance in a golden bikini that caught the fans' eagle eyes.

Director-producer Karan Johar was all praise for Kiara and he also mentioned it in his Instagram story. He wrote, 'Can we take a moment to say how hot Kiara Advani is looking in War 2?'

Kiara herself shared the teaser and wrote, "Lots of firsts in this: first YRF film, first action film, first with these two amazing heroes, first collaboration with Ayan and of course, first bikini shot. Here’s the teaser; hope we have got you excited for August."

Karan also praised the teaser and he wrote, "And here comes the biggest BLOCKBUSTER of the year!!! This clash of titans is going to be epic and storm the box office. I literally cannot wait."

Talking about the War 2 teaser, it was unveiled on Jr. NTR's birthday as promised by Hrithik Roshan. In the teaser there is a face-off between Jr. NTR and Hrithik's Kabir, who is a RAW agent.

According to News18, a source close to the movie said Jr. NTR’s role will be a long-term investment in the spy franchise. “His character won’t just be limited to War 2. Expect standalone films, spin-offs, and major crossover appearances," the insider shared.

War 2 is going to hit theaters on August 14.
