Simar is the daughter of Akshay Kumar's sister, Alka Bhatia, who has produced several films with her brother but prefers to remain out of the public eye. As per a Mid-Day report, "Although Alka is a camera-shy person and has always stayed away from the limelight despite producing several movies with Akshay, her daughter Simar has always been interested in acting and is excited to get on a film set to live her dream."

It has been reported that Simar Bhatia paved her own way to land her debut role, securing it through her own talents. While details of her character remain under wraps, she is set to play the romantic lead alongside Agastya Nanda.
