Akshay Kumar recently shared his thoughts on the growing obsession with sculpted bodies in the film business. The actor also warned against what he called "unnatural" methods of developing six-pack abs.

During a recent appearance at the India Today Conclave, the actor talks about the fitness trends in films. The actor noted that the push to get a toned figure quickly frequently results in dubious behaviours.

Akshay elaborated, “A lot of what you see is being created. I am not talking about VFX - some of it is, but some of it is also about putting wrong things inside your body.”

The actor emphasised that he supports a more conventional approach to exercise and wellness rather than taking quick cuts.

The actor further noted, “The natural way is our Indian way of making a six-pack,” adding, “Work properly, eat properly, have ghee, live a good life, be happy — you can manage it.”

Additionally, Akshay cautioned against drastic physical changes, which he believes are frequently unsustainable.

He further suggested that results may come at the cost of long-term well-being and noted, “I have seen six-packs happening in about four or five months, but that is all wrong.”

Akshay Kumar has long been regarded as a fitness role model who has not been affected by the industry's body image demands in Bollywood. Kumar reaffirmed that balance, not drastic measures, is the key to being fit, as younger actors want to emulate his film style.

On the work front, Akshay has an exciting lineup ahead. He will be next seen in Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. The film will release on April 10, 2026. The action-comedy Welcome to the Jungle will be released on June 26, 2026. He will also be seen in Haiwaan. Additionally, the actor has recently bagged a role in Golmaal 5.
