Akshay Kumar has surprised his fans with a new look for his upcoming film Kesari 2. He recently shared a picture of himself dressed as a Kathakali dancer, which has created a lot of buzz online. In the movie, Akshay plays the role of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, a man who fought for justice after the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

The actor posted the picture on his Instagram with a powerful message. He explained that his Kathakali costume is not just a regular outfit but a symbol of tradition, resistance, and truth.

Akshay shared that C. Sankaran Nair didn't fight with physical weapons but with the law, using his knowledge and courage to challenge the British Empire. He also mentioned that the movie will showcase a crucial court trial, one that most people have never learned about in textbooks. The film will be released on April 18, 2025.

For those unfamiliar with Kathakali, it's a traditional Indian dance form from Kerala.

The costume Akshay is wearing represents a noble character, as the full green face, called Pachcha, is used to depict kings, sages, and other important figures in Kathakali performances.
