Twinkle Khanna book moment captured by Akshay Kumar

One of Bollywood's most adored couples, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, were recently caught up in a humorous moment while appearing to be on vacation.

Akshay, who is well-known for his self-control and commitment to fitness, hardly ever skips a workout, not even when on vacation. Instead of using the gym floor for her workout, Twinkle chose to use the pages of a book.

Sharing a glimpse of their relaxed getaway, Akshay snapped a candid photo of Twinkle lounging on a sofa, fully engrossed in author Anita Desai’s Diamond Dust.

Twinkle, never one to shy away from self-deprecating humour, added a witty caption to the photo. “Mr. K catches me reading a book I found in our hotel room instead of going to the gym. Since I forgot my glasses, I hold it at arm’s length and pretend it counts as a bicep curl while I try to decipher the blurry sentences. My first taste of Anita Desai and it’s captivating. What unexpected gem have you chanced upon in a hotel room?”

Many fans could relate to the delight of finding a good book while travelling, so her light-hearted approach resonated with them. The post reminded everyone that not all workouts have to be done on a treadmill by skilfully fusing Twinkle's trademark wit with her passion for books.

In addition to being a power couple, Akshay and Twinkle have long captivated the public's attention with their distinct dynamic and humorous relationship. It's interesting to note that their relationship wasn't always a fairy tale. Twinkle opened up about how their romance started as a fling while filming in Canada in a 2016 episode of Koffee With Karan.

“I had come out of a long-term relationship, and I wanted to have a fling. There he was – six feet of chocolate ice cream… I ran out of books in Calgary. There was no TV and I was really bored. And there he was. So, it was kind of perfect,” she confessed, much to Akshay’s embarrassment.

The couple tied the knot on January 17, 2001, and are now parents to two children—Aarav and Nitara. While Akshay continues to dominate the silver screen, Twinkle has carved out her own successful path as a columnist and best-selling author.
