Akshay Kumar has reportedly sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for ₹4.25 crore, adding to his growing real estate portfolio.

Akshay Kumar, currently making headlines for his film Sky Force that released today, 24th January, has reportedly sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for ₹4.25 crore, as per property registration documents obtained by SquareYards.

This transaction adds to the actor's property portfolio and marks a significant move in his real estate dealings. The apartment is said to be in a prime location, contributing to its hefty price tag.

The property is located in Sky City, a residential development by Oberoi Realty, spanning 25 acres. It is a ready-to-move-in project that offers a range of apartments, including 3BHK, 2BHK, studio, and duplex units. As per the documents, The transaction was officially registered on January 21, 2025.

An analysis of the IGR property registration documents by Square Yards revealed that Akshay Kumar's apartment, which he purchased for ₹2.38 crore in November 2017, was recently sold for ₹4.25 crore, marking a 78% increase in its value.

Interestingly, as per IGR property registration records, Akshay Kumar, along with other Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, owns several properties in Oberoi Sky City.

As per the IGR property registration documents analyzed by SquareYards, the apartment spans a carpet area of 1,073 sq. ft. (99.71 sq. m) and comes with two parking spaces. The transaction involved a stamp duty payment of ₹25.5 lakh, along with registration charges of ₹30,000.

As for now, Akshay Kumar has not commented on this issue.

A 2022 media report revealed that Akshay Kumar Bhatia sold a property in Andheri West, Mumbai, to music director Daboo Malik for ₹6 crore.

As per Square Yards Data Intelligence, Oberoi Sky City has shown robust market activity, with 216 sale registrations amounting to a total transaction value of ₹848 crore from January to December 2024. The average resale property price in the project is currently ₹39,522 per sq. ft.

In what may be the priciest real estate deal in Mumbai's Borivali suburb, a 4 BHK luxury apartment was sold for ₹14 crore last year, with the per square foot rate reaching ₹56,000.

According to real estate experts, this marks the highest rate at which a property has ever been sold in Borivali, with the price now on par with other prime locations in Mumbai such as Andheri, Vile Parle, Dadar, and Mahim.

Located on Mumbai's northwestern edge, Borivali is renowned for its attractions like the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri Caves, and popular amusement parks such as Water Kingdom and Essel World. Borivali East is particularly sought after for its lush greenery, close proximity to parks, and excellent connectivity to nearby areas like Kandivali East, Dahisar East, and Borivali West.
