Akshay Kumar is set to make a grand return to cinemas on 6 June with Housefull 5, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The comic entertainer officially opened its advance bookings on Sunday morning, and early indicators are showing promising signs.
As per latest updates from Sacnilk, the first-day advance booking for Housefull 5 has kicked off impressively, grossing a total of Rs 1.32 crore across India.
The film has sold over 40,000 tickets nationwide, spread across more than 23,000 shows.
In Hindi 2D format alone, it clocked Rs 82.15 lakh from 22,452 tickets and Rs 50.27 lakh from 15,909 tickets at different venues. With strong average ticket pricing and wide distribution, the film is showing solid early momentum at the box office.
While the advance figures are among the better performers for Akshay Kumar’s releases in the post-pandemic landscape, the overall booking pace still leaves some room for acceleration.
Outside of the top three chains, advance reservations at smaller and regional multiplex circuits like Rajhans, MovieMax, and Miraj are showing relatively healthy numbers. This is frequently a good prelude to high walk-ins on the day of release.
The movie's booking cycle is still in its early phases. By Wednesday night, a clearer picture of the movie's box office prospects should become apparent. It's interesting to note that Housefull 5's international pre-sales are promising, indicating hope that the momentum will translate to the domestic market.

The film's plot unfolds on a lavish yacht where a billionaire celebrates his 100th birthday with a grand, star-studded party. During the celebration, he stuns everyone by announcing he will leave his entire inheritance to someone named "Jolly."
Chaos ensues when three different men—Jalabuddin (Riteish Deshmukh), Jalbhushan (Abhishek Bachchan), and Julius (Akshay Kumar)—each claim to be the rightful Jolly, leading to a hilarious and high-stakes identity mix-up.
The ensemble cast includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and Chitrangada Singh.
