Superstar Akshay Kumar celebrated his 58th birthday on Tuesday, September 9. The Khiladi actor attended a meet and greet event with fans on his special day, expressing gratitude for their love and support all these years.
During the fan event, Akshay gave his audience credit for his stellar career as an actor and his fame over the decades.
Addressing all his fans, Akshay said, "Main roz 5 baje kyun uthta hun? Aap logon keliye. Kyunki mujhe aapne aap ko fit rakhna hai taaki aapko koi complain na ho ki humara hero yeh nhi karsakta (Why do I wake up every day at 5 a.m.? For all of you. Because I need to keep myself fit so that you never have any complaints that your hero can’t do something.)"
He also made a humble request to his fans to pray for him if possible. "Bas mujhe itna hai ki aap logon ka pyaar chahiye aur sabse important cheez mahine mein kabhi bhi waqt mile toh 10 second mereliye prarthna karliya karo (All I want is your love, and the most important thing—whenever you get a moment in a month, just spare 10 seconds to pray for me.)"
Akshay also dedicated a post on Instagram to his beloved fans for their unended support over 34 years in the film industry and thanked them today on his birthday.
He penned a long note in the caption that read, "Good morning, everyone! 58 years in the making, 34 years in this industry, over 150 films & counting. To everyone that ever believed in me, who bought a ticket, who signed me, produced me, directed me and guided me, this is your journey as much as mine. I’m just here to say an eternal ‘Thank You’ for every kind action, unconditional support, and words of encouragement. I am nothing without you, my Birthday is a dedication to all those that still believe me. On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Jolly LLB 3, co-starring with Arshad Warsi. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 19.
