Akshay Kumar and acclaimed director Priyadarshan have begun the Jaipur schedule of their highly anticipated film Bhooth Bangla. Following the initial shoot in Mumbai last month, the horror-comedy's production now moves to the Pink City for its next phase.
The film, a horror-comedy, promises a mix of humor and thrills, with Akshay’s renowned comic timing bringing life to his role and Priyadarshan’s direction adding a fresh and engaging touch. The Jaipur schedule will feature outdoor shoots at the city's iconic landmarks, providing a vibrant cultural backdrop to the storyline.
On his 57th birthday, September 9, 2024 Akshay Kumar revealed an exciting collaboration with celebrated director Priyadarshan. He took to Instagram to share two posters, both featuring the film's release date.
The horror-comedy is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2026. Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, is produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms alongside Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. Co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali, the film features a story by Akash A Kaushik, with the screenplay written by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. Rohan Shankar also penned the dialogues.
Fans of the iconic Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan duo, known for delivering hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala, are excited to see them reunite for Bhooth Bangla. Joining Akshay Kumar in this comedy-filled adventure are Paresh Rawal, Asrani, and Rajpal Yadav, all of whom are renowned for their exceptional comic timing on screen.
According to reports, Wamiqa Gabbi will star opposite Akshay Kumar in an eagerly awaited upcoming film. Known for her strong performances in Punjabi and Hindi cinema, Wamiqa is expected to bring a fresh energy to the screen alongside the Bollywood superstar. She was most recently seen in Baby John with Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh.
