Akhanda 2 Vs Dhurandhar advance booking sales: Balakrishna movie tops the race

Akhanda 2 is likely to have a great opening and possibly be the better movie during the early rush, thanks to Balakrishna's enormous fan base and the popularity of the first movie.

Akhanda 2 vs Dhurandhar

The box office battle between Akhanda 2 and Dhurandhar starts on December 5 with different advance bookings. Two big movies will come out at the same time, making it a huge day for Indian box office and fans.

Dhurandhar is a high-octane spy thriller with Ranveer Singh in the lead role and an ensemble cast that includes R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.

The sequel to Nandamuri Balakrishna's hit movie Akhanda, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, is on the other side. Both movies are aimed at a national audience, and early patterns in advance sales are already pointing to an interesting showdown.

Dhurandhar's Pre-sales

Despite having a lot of star power, Dhurandhar's advance booking has been surprisingly slow. People have been talking about the movie for days because of rumors about its extensive runtime and the possibility of a sequel. But the hype hasn't nearly led to ticket sales. The pace is still slow when advance booking commenced on November 30.

According to reports, the movie has sold 58,801 tickets in India in both 2D and IMAX 2D Hindi versions, bringing in Rs 2.59 crore so far. Ranveer Singh plays an Indian spy in the action movie, but things are going wrong off-screen as well.

Dhurandhar is currently under legal examination because of charges that the movie shows Major Mohit Sharma without the family's or the Indian Army's permission.

Director Aditya Dhar has denied these assertions. The CBFC has also made it clear that the movie is not based on the life or work of the martyr.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is getting stronger and ready to race ahead and is doing much better in advance pre-sales, especially since it is aimed at a specific region.

The NBK movie has already sold 57,000 tickets across the country, which is only a little less than Dhurandhar, even though it opened in fewer high-end formats.

Akhanda 2 is growing so quickly that trade experts think it will sell more tickets than Dhurandhar even before it comes out.

But its box office revenue is only Rs 1.3 crore right now, which is less than before because ticket prices are much lower on average. But there's no denying the hype in the Telugu states, which is only growing thanks to the movie's big release in both 2D and 3D.

Akhanda 2 is likely to have a great opening and possibly be the better movie during the early rush, thanks to Balakrishna's enormous fan base and the popularity of the first movie.

The Big Clash: What Comes Next?

With only a few hours left before they come out, the two movies are getting different kinds of buzz.

One is based on a lot of fans going crazy, and the other is based on a lot of stars and a wide appeal. The first big box office duel of December will be between Dhurandhar and Akhanda 2. There is one thing we know for sure: the fight on December 5 is growing worse.
