Ajith Kumar goes Go Karting with family

Veteran actor and Padma Bhushan awardee Ajith Kumar has made a powerful and spirited comeback after being hospitalised in Chennai for a leg injury he sustained in front of a crowd of fervent fans and media.

The actor recently went to a go-kart racing arena with his wife Shalini and their son Aadvik for his first public appearance since his recovery.

Marking the occasion with a blend of leisure and learning, the family enjoyed a day of fun and motorsport at the track.

On May 2, Ajith Kumar’s official racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, shared a heartwarming photo series on X, capturing the family in high spirits.

Dressed in sleek black racing gear, Ajith was seen teaching his 10-year-old son, Aadvik, the basics of go-karting. Shalini, beaming with pride, stood close by, supporting her husband and son.

A particularly special moment from the day was when young Aadvik met one of India’s most celebrated motorsport legends, Narain Karthikeyan.

In a post captioned “At the track with Narain Karthikeyan,” the racing team shared glimpses of the duo's meeting. Another post read, “Tips to the little master from the maestro @narainracing,” featuring Karthikeyan offering valuable guidance to the young enthusiast — perhaps sparking the beginnings of a promising journey in racing.

Ajith Kumar, beyond his on-screen fame, is known for his deep-rooted passion for motorsports. His racing team includes acclaimed international racers such as Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod. It appears he is now passing this passion on to the next generation.

Most recently, he appeared in Good Bad Ugly, helmed by Adhik Ravichandran, alongside Trisha Krishnan, Prabhu, and Arjun Das. The film, released theatrically on April 10, is now set for its digital premiere on Netflix across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
