Ajay Devgn to return as Vijay Salgaonkar in crime thriller Drishyam 3

Drishyam 3 gets greenlight

Ajay Devgn starrer crime thriller Drishyam was originally released in the theatres in 2015, followed by a more gripping sequel in 2022. The film captivated fans with its intriguing plot and suspense, and the makers have recently created a buzz among the fans with a new update.

The film’s production studio, Panorama Studios International Limited, has reportedly given the green light to Drishyam 3. An announcement letter from the studio is going viral on social media that confirming the third instalment of the suspense thriller.

The letter also confirmed that Ajay Devgn will return in the film, potentially reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar. The studio also revealed that Abhishek Pathak, who helmed the 2022 sequel, will also return to the director’s chair. The upcoming instalment will be co-produced by Digital 18 Media Private.

For the unversed, Drishyam 2 followed the events of the first instalment and was set seven years after the Salgaonkars faced traumatic events. They have moved on with life, but unforeseen circumstances threaten to bring dark truths to light.

The film features Shriya Saran, Mrunal Jadhav, Akshaye Khanna and Tabu in the pivotal roles. However, the studio is yet to confirm whether they will reprise their respective roles in the upcoming film.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn notably has a series of new projects in his pipeline. The actor will star in Dhamaal 4, De De Pyaar De 2, Golmaal 5 and Son Of Sardaar 2.
