Ahaan Panday to make Bollywood Debut in YRF’s Romantic Drama Saiyaara, teaser likely to drop on May 30: Report

Now that Ananya Paney has established her place in Bollywood, Ahaan Panday, her cousin, must follow suit. The aspiring actor is ready to make his eagerly awaited debut opposite Aneet Padda in the romantic movie Saiyaara.

Renowned director Mohit Suri is directing the movie, which is being produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), a major player in the industry. Although an official confirmation is still pending, Bollywood Hungama reports that the teaser for the movie is anticipated to be released on May 30.

As per Bollywood Hungama, on July 18, 2025, Saiyaara will be released in theatres around the world. Insider reports state that the majority of the film's production took place in 2024 and early 2025. In one especially expansive scene, director Mohit Suri set up a music festival scene with more than 1,000 background performers at Vrundavan Studios in Malad, Mumbai.

The scene reportedly features Ahaan performing on stage, captivating the fictional crowd with his presence. “In the middle of his performance, Ahaan also jumps from the stage to further woo the audience,” the portal noted.

The official announcement came in April via Yash Raj Films’ social media platforms: “Theirs is a love story like no other… #Saiyaara starring @ahaanpandayy and @aneetpadda_ releasing in theatres, worldwide, July 18, 2025!"

Ananya Panday also joined in to support her cousin, sharing the announcement with the caption, “Welcome to the movies my brother @Ahaanpandayy.”

Sources close to the news agency IANS have also spoken about the studio’s confidence in the newcomer. “It is the Gen Z era now... With Aditya Chopra feeling that Ahaan is a strong contender for this level of stardom, all eyes will be on the young boy to see how he can floor everyone with his first film.”

The source further noted, “Ahaan has shown that he chooses to stay away from the public gaze in recent years to only focus on improving his craft… This is the reason why YRF has been able to produce the top stars of the country.”

All eyes will undoubtedly be on Saiyaara as it gets closer to its big release thanks to its powerful launchpad and skilled creative support.
