Actor and comedian Lee Kyung Kyu is all set to make a comeback with a new SBS variety show, My Turn, just a few months after his drugged driving controversy.
He will star alongside Tak Jae Hoon, Choo Sung Hoon, Lee Soo Ji, Kim Won Hoon, Park Ji Hyun, and Nam Yoon Soo. The upcoming show is touted as the first fake reality show on a major Korean broadcast network.
My Turn will blend the fictional elements with the real ambitions of the cast members, leaving the fans guessing what’s real and what’s staged. The thrilling format of the television show is already making waves among the audience.
In the upcoming show, each contestant will take part in a Trot Idol Project, using the format as a cover to achieve their own goals. Meanwhile, Lee Kyung Kyu is reported to serve as the producer of the group. My Turn is set to premiere on August 7.
For the unversed, Lee Kyung landed in the controversy in June after he drove another person’s car while under the influence of prescribed medication. He tested negative for alcohol, but a rapid drug test showed a positive result.

The agency also suggested that Lee had taken legally prescribed medication the night before due to worsening symptoms.
The agency later clarified that Lee was not doing well and mistakenly took a car identical to his own to drive himself to the hospital. The police investigated the case under the Road Traffic Act, but Lee was not detained.
Lee Kyung Kyu is known for his roles in TV shows like Dogs Are Incredible, Let's Eat Dinner Together, Comedy Revenge and others. He has also been the highest-paid entertainer on the KBS network in 2010.
