Abhishek Soni to join Shilpa Shirodkar in Abhishek Nigam starrer Shankar - The Revolutionary Man- exclusive

There are many series and shows which are in the making. One of the projects which has been making a buzz from quite sometime is Shankar - The Revolutionary Man.

It was only recently reported that Bigg Boss 18 fame Shilpa Shirodkar will be making a comeback with the series. Reportedly, Shilpa will play Adi Shankaracharya’s mother, and Abhishek Nigam will play the saint’s lead role.

Now, Moneycontrol has exclusive news on the series.

Abhishek Soni has been signed to play a pivotal role in the project.

Abhishek has previously been seen in shows such as Krishna Mohini, Dharm Yoddha Garud and webseries in the likes of Twisted 3 and Lakhan Leela Bhargav. He has also been a part of various episodic dramas such as Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol.

Shankar – The Revolutionary Man is based on the great saint and philosopher Adi Shankaracharya. Modi Studios and Rajarshi Bhupendra Modi are producing the series.

Many popular faces are associated with the series namely Abhishek Nigam, Rajesh Shringarpure, Farnaz Shetty, Rati Pandey, Manoj Joshi, and others.

The platform where the series will launch is not known yet but sources confirm that it will be a big one.

Adi Shankara, also known as Adi Shankaracharya, was an Indian Vedic scholar and teacher (acharya). He lived in the eighth century CE. He synthesised the Advaita Vedanta teachings of his time and offered a harmonising reading of the shastras with liberating knowledge of the self at its core through his writings.

Adi Shankaracharya established four monastic centers in different parts of India and appointed a disciple as the head of each. According to reports, his philosophy remains relevant and is studied by scholars, spiritual practitioners, and those interested in Indian philosophy.
